HELENA – A message was shared by Police Chief Brad Flynn addressing the protection of colleges on Friday, Aug. 5.

Flynn stated “With the tragedies that occurred just lately, it has prompted legislation enforcement all around the nation to revisit each facet of how we’ve protected our kids, and what we should do transferring ahead to maintain our colleges protected.”

He talked about that the Helena Police Division has been engaged on updating and initiating new safety procedures for all of their colleges.

“Whereas I’m not at liberty to debate our safety plans, I do need to let all Helena dad and mom know that you will notice an elevated legislation enforcement presence at Helena colleges this 12 months,” Flynn stated.

He additionally stated the HPD has labored alongside the Shelby County Board of Schooling over the summer season.

“HPD values {our relationships} we’ve with the Board of Schooling and our college administration, and we are going to work tirelessly to guard our future, our kids, each day,” Flynn stated.
