Abstract:
In response to a request from the authorities and as a part of the Information for Choices (D4D)1 funded venture beneath the submodule for Fiscal and Debt reporting, a authorities finance statistics (GFS) technical help (TA) mission was held remotely with the Lesotho Ministry of Finance (MOF) throughout April 5–16, 2021. Earlier TA missions beneath the Enhanced Information Dissemination Initiative (EDDI2) over the interval spanning from 2016 to 2020 assisted the MOF to enhance GFS compilation and dissemination for the budgetary central authorities (BCG) and impressed motion to broaden knowledge protection to incorporate native governments and extrabudgetary items (EBUs) with the goal to compile and disseminate consolidated basic authorities GFS. Preliminary native authorities GFS have now been compiled, and knowledge collected for chosen state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and parastatals, together with non-market SOEs that may now contribute to preliminary basic authorities GFS to be compiled.
