MARSEILLE, France (AP) — American ahead Konrad de la Fuente has joined Greek membership Olympiakos on a season-long mortgage from Marseille, the groups stated Saturday.

The 21-year-old winger struggled with taking part in time in France and had season-ending knee surgical procedure in early April. He completed with one purpose and three assists in 23 appearances.

Common taking part in time in Greece might present De la Fuente with a possibility to earn a roster spot with the US for the World Cup, which begins Nov. 20.

De la Fuente, who’s from Miami, made his U.S. nationwide group debut in November 2020 in an exhibition at Wales. He performed for the Individuals on the 2019 Below-20 World Cup.

He signed a four-year contract with Marseille final summer time after becoming a member of from Barcelona.
