Two individuals are lifeless following what authorities consider was a murder-suicide early this morning in a Hyannis residence.

Barnstable police responded to 66 Murray Method at about 2:48 a.m. Friday “after receiving a name reporting an assault inside the house,” the division stated in a launch.

“Upon arrival they discovered two people deceased,” the Cape and Islands District Legal professional’s Workplace stated in a subsequent launch. “Preliminary investigation would recommend that it’s a homicide/suicide.”

Authorities stated two kids, ages 7 and 11, had been inside the house on the time of the incident. They “are presently within the care of acceptable authorities,” the district lawyer’s workplace stated Friday.

The residence seems to be a duplex. Murray Method is a brief road off Sea Road, a couple of half-mile inland from Keyes Memorial Seaside and a half-mile south of Predominant Road.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
